The ang family started the original point-point joint in national city, california. Owners william and rebecca tan worked under the management of rebecca’s brother, boy ang and in 1988 the tan’s decided to open up point-point’s first location in los angeles. In 2003, the couple decided to expand and open their second location in L.A.’s historial filipinotown.
Point-point is the english translation of the filipino term, “Turo-turo.” turo turo restaurants are a concept developed in the philippines which offers home cooked dishes with fast food service. For over 30 years point-point joint has been serving traditional filipino breakfast, lunch, dinner and offering a little piece of home.
